More Than Skin Deep with Rachel.

Benefits Of Natural Skincare Products
I have to start off this message by saying THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. The messages I received after last week’s newsletter/blog were incredible. The thoughtful words, generosity, and complete and total support means more to me than you will ever know. I felt like I had entire cheering squad on my side saying, “GO Rachel! I am so proud of you!” It brought me so much joy. So, thank you, thank you!
A Time Of Change And Rebirth
You may have noticed that I did not reach out last week with a message and it was for good reason. I wanted to pause and reflect on all that is happening around us. So much. So heavy. So much pain and so much hope that something positive will emerge from it.
What Is "Maskne" And How Can You Reduce It?
I hope you are enjoying this wonderfully warm weather this week. It’s a perfect time to get outside, get a little Vitamin D, and keep that body moving. All of it is good for the mind, body, and soul.
Recognizing The Body-Skin Connection
I hope you are well. For those of you that are local, I hope that you have enjoyed some of the few things that are now open for business. I know the town of Mount Airy is over the moon about Home Goods being open! :)
Don’t Take It Too Seriously
I hope everyone here in Maryland is as excited as I am for the warm weather that is coming our way. My husband just shared with me that we have not had two consecutive days of over 80 degree weather since September and this hasn’t happened in over 50 years or something. What?!! That is just craziness. Needless to say, I am super psyched for warmer days ahead. I guess I should wax my legs soon and paint my toes. Too much information??? Nah, it’s an esthi blog. It’s never TMI in my world!
Helpful Hints And Food For Thought
It is Wednesday, right? Anyone else losing track of the days lately? I am just embracing it. I had to chuckle because when I wrote the days out for our May calendar, I had nothing to fill it in with. It’s WIDE open. It’s sort of freeing though. At least I won’t forget that we had to be somewhere!
Be Proud
I am doing my weekly check in. I hope you have been enjoying them, so far. Please share any and all feedback that you have!! I hope you are taking care of yourself, inside and out. Although its been a chilly April here in Maryland, I have been enjoying walks with my girls—four legged and two legged- these days. Just getting out, breathing some fresh air, and moving has helped my sanity and mood tremendously.
Give The Earth Some Love
I hope you are going to get outside and enjoy the spring air today. For me, Earth Day is a reason to celebrate this gorgeous planet that we are lucky enough to live on. It is 4.5 BILLION years old...think about that one. Just incredible.
Look For The Little Things
Doing my weekly check in. Isn’t it a little wild how it sort of feels like time is standing still, but when you look around, the flowers are still blooming, grass is growing, and life is still moving right along? It helps me to see these little things, so that I am reminded that this too shall pass and we will be able to pick back up where we left off. Perhaps even in a slightly better way—a little slower pace, less anxious, more aware, and grateful for the little things...
Give Yourself Grace
It’s me again, your esthi doing her weekly check-in. How are YOU?? Are you finding small pockets of time space to breath, stretch, or just be?
Checking In: How Are YOU Doing And How Can I Help?
I want to see how you’re navigating today, so I am checking in. This is a time of uncertainty, but try and remember that social distancing does not mean social isolating. It’s an opportunity to be present with our loved ones, organize or do a little spring cleaning, and get outside to enjoy some fresh air. It’s also an excellent time for self-care.
5 Minute Skin Care Routine Made Simple
There are some people who have plenty of time to tend to their skin in the morning and night. They take their time, maybe mix it up and try different things, and it’s a relaxing experience for them…
Your Skin Has A Memory
Have you ever wondered if your skin is a reflection of your daily routine, habits, etc.? Well ponder no more because that is big, fat, YES!!!!
Benefits Of Using A Mask In Your Weekly Routine
Think back to the last facial you had…Did your esthetician use a face mask? Or two? I’m guessing the answer is “yes.” It’s pretty standard for us esthis to use masks on clients because of all the amazing benefits they can offer to any skin-type…
Welcome To My New Blog!
I wanted to welcome you to this new chapter in my life and career. After spending part of my work week nurturing my babies at home for the last ten years, I now have a new “baby” to tend to: sharing all things related, and some maybe not so much :), to skin care, products, trends, and whatever else comes to mind, in my very own blog.
