Just Add Fertilizer

Just Add Fertilizer

Happy Wednesday!!

I am back with another garden reference, so I hope you’re not sick of them yet! A few weeks ago, I wrote about how my garden really seemed to be struggling and I was asking for help. (Thank you for your feedback, by the way!) I was trying to figure out where I went wrong- aside from this relentless heat that won’t seem to give up this summer, which I knew was taking a toll on my “babies.”

The best advice I got was from a childhood friend in Colorado, whose husband owns a landscaping company. He said that my garden needed fertilizer. Holy. Moly. Of course it did! It has been working so hard to grow and produce and I hadn’t added anything!! I know you avid gardeners out there are cringing, but cut me some slack - I am still learning. What a simple thing- they needed nourishment to keep on growing. I think you know where I am going with all of this, right?

Yup- I have been slacking on nourishing myself lately, and it is starting to show. I am definitely not my “best self” these days and I know why! Just. Add. Fertilizer!! Well, the human version of that, of course. How can we expect our bodies and our minds to just keep on cranking if we barely give them what they need to grow and produce?! Looking back at all of the things I suggest you do on a daily/weekly basis- get rest, move, be present, self-care- I can see now that a few have been missing in my life. I haven’t been slacking on all of them, but I know I have dropped the ball on a few.

Instead of beating myself up about it and wishing I had done things differently, I am just going to move forward and make the little changes to take care of myself. That’s all I can do- feed, nourish, and keep on growing- keep on moving forward.

RFE Products

I had a close friend recently ask about other ways that she could use my products. So here is my list of tips and tricks to get all the goodness out of your RFE products- aside from the suggested uses on the label:

Balance Cleanser - a little goes a long way- seriously- one, maybe two pumps will do ya! Breakout/irritation on your chest and back? Go ahead and wash those areas with Balance, as well.

Radiant / Purify Cleansing Bars - cut the bar in half and store the other half in a container that can “breath.” Use Radiant on the chest for sun damage and Purify on chest/back for breakout

Nourish / Awaken Toners - irritation, bug bites or sunburn? Either of these will help to soothe so, spray away!

Joy Lip and Beauty Balm - dealing with cracked/dry areas around your nose? Use a clean hand or applicator and apply a thin layer to heal that sensitive area.

Adore Serum - apply a thicker layer under a mask to give yourself the ultimate hydrating treatment.

Gratitude Multi-Purpose Oil - there is not much that this oil doesn’t do but a favorite among clients that blowout their hair is to use a small amount on damp hair, before applying any heat. It helps to smooth frizz and makes your hair smell extra fab!

Optimism Eye Balm - if you have seriously dry skin around your eyes, apply a thicker layer at night to give your eyes a treatment mask to soothe this delicate area.

Clear Blemish Treatment - apply a thin layer of this “spot treat” in areas that are prone to breakout to help prevent them from coming- especially during times that you know your skin breaks out more!

Refine Mask - massage this product into your skin to exfoliate, before allowing it to “set.” (Also, stay tuned, because part of this mask duo will have an extra use in the coming months!!)

I hope these tips help you get the most out of your products!! Please email me with any questions.
